An Announcement About the 2024 Mar Ngok Summer Teachings
Dear Students,
His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa has asked us to provide you with an update regarding the 2024 Mar Ngok Summer Teachings:
1. The teachings were originally scheduled to run for 15 or 16 sessions in July and August. After eight sessions, the teaching was put on hold when the Gyalwang Karmapa traveled to Europe to meet with the His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
2. The topics of the next few sessions include complex topics such as the ten impermissible actions and the five points of Bhikshu Mahadeva. In order to be able to teach these properly, His Holiness has decided to postpone the rest of the teachings until next year.
3. Upcoming events include the Kagyu Guncho Winter Debates, the Kagyu Monlam, and the Arya Kshema Spring Teachings. His Holiness will continue the teachings he has been giving during these events.
